Statement of Faith
I believe the Bible is God’s love letter to His sons and daughters, the only source of Truth, and to be used as our compass. It is inspired by God, trustworthy, without error, and undeniably the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
I believe that there is One God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
Jesus is God’s one and only Son. He was born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life and paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead and now lives at the right hand of the Father. Only through Jesus can we restore our relationship with God, the Father. We await His second coming.
I believe in Jesus Christ as our savior, rescuer, redeemer, and Lord of all. I believe in His life, death, resurrection and await His second coming. I’m committed to living out His teachings and being in relationship with Him for eternity. I believe that the submission to and acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior is the only path to salvation for humankind (John 3:16, John 5:24, Titus 3:3-7). I believe that only through Him, we are no longer slaves to fear, but we are adopted into His family, and become heirs of the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 4:7, Galatians 3:26-29) This is the best news EVER!
I believe that the same power that conquered death on the cross is alive in us, and that
we have access to it through faith. This is the power of the Holy Spirit! I believe that we get to partner with Him to carry out the work that He purposed for us. I believe that faith in Christ, conviction of sin, salvation and Christian growth are all evidence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. The present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within and guides us, enables Christians to live godly lives (Romans 6:10-11, John 14:15-26, John 16:5-16, Ephesians 1:13-14).
I believe that God created all human beings in His image. I believe in the spiritual unity of
believers, that all believers are members of His body, the church (Philippians 2:1-4). I believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end, and that we must honor and care for the physical and spiritual needs of ALL people; following Christ’s example, every human being should be treated with love, dignity, kindness, patience, and respect (Psalm 139:13, Isaiah 49:1, Jeremiah 1:5, Matthew 22:37-39, Romans 12:20-21, Galatians 6:10).
Finally, I believe that bearing fruit is evidence of Christ in your life. As Christians, we are
called to do much more than just believe. We are called to become Christ-like, to listen to His call on our lives, to treat people the way that Jesus would. I believe that as Christians, we will be recognized by our love for Jesus and for others (Matthew 7:18, John 13:35).
